Best Bowling Performance: The Peoples Champ (1) Andrew Flintoff:
Andrew Flintoff. 2nd Test at Lords 2009 Ashes series: http://www.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/

Andrew Flintoff finally got his name on the honours boards for his bowling at Lords. He took 5 wickets including breaking the partnership of Brad Haddin and Michael Clarke. He did this with a badly injured leg, but his detemination and quick bowling was good enough to inspire England to victory at Lords

Best Batting Performances: The Peoples Champ (2) Sachin Tendulkar: http://www.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/416240.html
An incredible 175 from the Little Master against Australia, with every stroke in the book, almost single-handedly beat Australia. Tendulkar continues to show an incredible lust for cricket and he continues to keep producing these show-stopping innings

    Match of the year:
ODI: 1st ODI at Rajkot: http://www.cricinfo.com/indvsl2009/engin
    India 414/7
    Sri Lanka 411/8

An incredibly exciting match for all. Brilliant knocks from Sehwag and Dilshan, it looked like India had bat the Lankans out of the game, and then it looked like Sanagakkara was guiding SL to victory, but a turn around and a great last over from Ashish Nehra

Most Memorable Moment of the Year:
2009 Ashes. 5th Test at The Oval: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvh-rh3S7hM

Andrew Flintoff in his final Test against his old "foe" Australia manages to produce one final piece of magic, by running out the Australian captain Ricky Ponting, which changes the game in Englands favour.

Its been the year of the fans favourites with Flintoff (who also took a hat-trick this year) and Tendulkar producing stunning performances.

Best bowling - England bowlers winning the Ashes despite Australia making more runs and more centuries, kudos to Broad, Flintoff, Anderson and Swann

Best batting - Phil Hughes breaking George Headleys 70 year old record to become the youngest player to score 2 centuries in a Test

Match of the year - the thrilling finish to the Cardiff Test with the result going right down to the last ball and eventually deciding the Ashes

Most memorable moment - Mahela Jayawardene and Prasanna Jayawardene breaking the longest standing partnership record in Test cricket, Bradman and Fingletons 72 year old record for the 6th wicket, how many players can claim to have broken one of Bradmans records?
